Dear blog-friends:
I’ve been away from posting since August. Part of that time was getting the book finished (it is available from Amazon now). As soon as I finished that, the annual “beginning of year” rush that happens around the NRCC community hit.
So now I’m back to a posting schedule. I think I’ll reduce blogposts to once a week. I’d like to get started on the next book, and it’s difficult to balance too many things.
Next week, I’ll start a series of posts on awakening to my own sense of mortality. I sat at a stop light recently, watched a very long funeral procession go by, and it has deeply impacted me. I’ll write about that for a while.
And as always, please do put up your thoughts. I love to hear what you’re thinking.
Doug
Hi Doug, As I approach 61 in May, I have been thinking about my mortality too. Your thoughts and writings about this sensitive topic tells me I am not alone. I was wondering if you had discussed this in your Sunday teachings ever?? I will pick up the book you recommended, sounds like a very good read, thank you. Doug, you inspire people to grow and learn every day, and I appreciate that about you and your teachings. Although, I am not often at church, I just want you to know I do try to listen to most of your teachings online, and they have helped in me in so many ways. I hope that you can continue helping and teaching your church family for years to come, you are an inspiration. I needed to remind you of that, and thank you once again for all that you do for your church family. Rita
thank you, rita.
and i miss you. it is always good to see you when you can make the trek.
